Relieved

So yesterday my new boss (since like two days) called me and asked me to come in, even though I have a sinus inflammation or something.

I knew he was going to fire me, and he did! But it feels okay. The company are letting approximately 10% of the workforce go, so it wasn't a big surprise. They pay me WAY too much for not doing very much at all to justify keeping me there. And I was really tired of it! So two months with full payment plus another shitload of money feels like much more fun.

Got other news last night that didn't make me happy at all.

Left work after sneezing so much I couldn't concentrate on the calls anymore... Also feeling a bit feverish and dizzy. And yeah, generally cold. 

Just saw the season finale of Dollhouse and man do I wish they'll make a second season! Yesterday I saw Star Trek with Tall&Handsome and it was great! Totally loved it! Spent the evening with Ida watching Good Will Hunting... And today I am, as mentioned, home, in bed, with lemsip.

Should try to make myself some lunch.

Apart from loving that song I'm working, doing routers today. It's mind numbing.

I want to read. Lot's of books, right now, Robert Louis Stevensson's Treasure Island is pretty high up on my list.

Today the call center turns ten. Hooray. So does the carpet. Hooray hooray.

Nah, back to work.

home alone

I'm eating breakfast on the sofa, listening to eighties hits (I really hadn't listened to the lyrics of The Kink's Lola before) and alternative country. It's really nice. Eventually I'll do some washing, some cleaning, some showering and some going out. And some paying that damn bill of almost 300 euro.

I was looking at old photos. From last summer. Man, I was way cuter! Even after the accident! Even... the day after the accident!

Hm. I sould get out into the sunshine. Just got to finish my coffee...
